Mazda’s first electric car is in Bulgaria now. The new Mazda MX-30 is definitely great for the city as it doesn’t pollute the air.The electric crossover is distinguished by the dynamic shape of the bodywork and its non-standard design with freestyle rear doors, as in the 2003 Mazda RX-8 sports coupe. The front doors open normally, and the rear doors open in the opposite direction. The absence of a central column between the doors facilitates entry and exit, especially for those sitting at the back.

The interior layout of the new Mazda MX-30 used environmentally friendly materials, such as fibres from recycled plastic bottles, and the cork encrusted in the centre console was made from the bark of trees without them being cut down. The seats are upholstered with new fabric, a mixture of textiles and recycled plastic that is soft to the touch and with small air holes, as if the fibers are full of air. The lightly lifted bodywork makes it easy to get behind the wheel and reinforces the sense of security in the city. The controls are intuitive and easy to understand. There is room for only 4 adults in the lounge. Four suitcases 115 cm long could fit in the trunk, and under the floor there is a compartment for the charging cables, for example.

The new Mazda MX-30 is powered by a system that includes an electric motor, a 35.5 kWh battery, an inverter, a DC converter and a 1-speed automatic transmission, combined with a high-voltage unit mounted at the front of the vehicle which is reliably protected from possible damage. The electric motor produces a maximum power of 145 hp., with a maximum torque of 270 Nm, available right from the start. The new Mazda MX-30 has a front-wheel drive and accelerates from 0km/h to 100 km/h in 9.7 seconds.

With an average electricity consumption of 19 kW per 100 km and a lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 35.5 kWh, which provides an autonomous range of 200 km according to the WLTP cycle. However, in a city, the electricity consumption is between 11 and 14 kWh/100 km, thanks to which the autonomous range becomes the substantial 265 km. The battery can be charged from 20% to 80% for about 3 hours on a wall charging station with an AC current of 6.6 kW or in just 40 minutes from a fast charging station with a direct current of 50 kW.

The new Mazda MX-30 is produced only at Mazda’s plant in Hiroshima, Japan. The electric crossover has already appeared with the European dealers of the brand, including in Bulgaria. The original version with the Launch Edition pack costs only BGN 69,690 and offers a price advantage of BGN 17,422. the price offer is valid for the first 20 Mazda MX-30 vehicles with an eco bonus of 20% in the form of options in the car worth BGN 5338, two charging stations for wall mounting 220/380V and mobile one 220V at a price of BGN 2980, as well as additional equipment including metallic porcelain color, Android Auto/Car Play, navigation, alarm system and original insoles at a price of 3620 BGN.
