Founded in the summer of 1992, “Daru Car” JSC started its activity as an official importer of BMW AG products for Bulgaria. In the beginning, the company focused on the sale of passenger cars, and in the first year the beginning of car service was laid. Gradually the service base and the spare parts warehouse were expanded.
In the summer of 1994, the auto repair shop, equipped in accordance with all BMW AG requirements, also opened. In the autumn of 1994, as a result of the purchase of the Rover Group by BMW AG, “Daru Kar” JSC became the official importer of Rover and Land Rover brands for Bulgaria. In the same year the specialized service opened its doors.
Following the reorganization of the automotive industry internationally, namely the sale of the Rover Group by the BMW Group, as well as the reorganization of dealer networks by many manufacturers within the EU, Daru Car JSC is the official partner of the not so long ago opened BMW Group office in Bulgaria and the official auto repair center of Porsche vehicles. After many years of work, it is from here that the personnel started, who in time developed the BMW network in Bulgaria and beyond, in the face of other authorized dealerships, service centers and representatives of the brand.
Following the acquisition of the company, Avto Union JSC has added to its portfolio of official dealerships and service centres of automotive brands. Today, on 7 July 2022, the car holding company signed a new future for its subsidiary Daru Car Ltd, parting with part of its long-standing family in the name of Eurohold Bulgaria JSC’s development strategy, which recently envisaged the sale of the group’s automotive and leasing businesses and a focus on the energy and insurance businesses.
